About This Dog for Adoption

Bron's ideal home

Meet beautiful Bron, a sweet 1-year-old Border Collie who has recently come into our care. We don’t know much about his past, but it’s clear that kennel life has been a bit overwhelming for him. The big, wide world can feel like a scary place to Bron, so he’s hoping to find a calm and patient family who will take things at his pace and help him build confidence.

Bron absolutely loves other dogs and gains a lot of reassurance from their presence. For this reason, he’ll need to live with a confident and playful resident dog who can show him the ropes and help him adjust to home life. This companionship will be key in helping Bron grow and flourish.

He will need help learning the basics, including housetraining and how to be comfortable when left alone, so he’ll need support and gentle guidance as he settles in. Bron would also love a secure garden with direct access from the house where he can safely play and explore. He’s not yet confident on the lead, so ongoing encouragement with his walks will be important.

Bron could live with children aged 12 and over who understand his gentle, sensitive nature.

Could you be Bron's perfect match?

Despite his nerves, Bron is a truly sweet little soul with so much potential. He’s already beginning to show his lovely personality, often nudging his carers for affection. He knows how to sit, and with his bright collie brain, we’re confident it won’t be long before he’s picking up all sorts of new tricks!

Border Collie Puppy Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Border Collie.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Border Collie Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
