Lassie's ideal home

Lassie is looking for a calm and peaceful home with active adopters who can take her on lots of exploring, sniffy adventures, give her training and enrichment to keep her clever brain busy and give her all the care and attention she deserves. She can live with children aged 12 years and over who will play with her nicely and can give her space to relax and rest when needed. Lassie can be a little conflicted around dogs when first meeting them, she would be happy with calm and polite walking buddies but would prefer to be the only pet in the home. Lassie has a little training under her belt, she does a lovely “sit” and “stay”, she is a clever girl, but can be easily distracted so would benefit from training in short, sweet sessions especially after a sniffy walk and if a tasty treat is on offer. She will need a refresher on her house training so a private, secure garden is needed. Lassie can get a little worried being left alone, she could be left for up to 1-2 hours, but this would need to be built up slowly once she has had time to settle into her new home. Lassie will need to meet her adopters multiple times prior to going home, so please bear this in mind when applying. Please note that should you be shortlisted, our rehoming process usually takes up to 7 days, and potential adopters would be required to come up to the centre to meet her within 48hrs of being shortlisted.

Super fun and dinky girl Lassie is a 2 and a half year old Border Collie with an abundance of energy. She loves to play, tennis balls are her favourite, she will chase them around if thrown for her, although she does tend get distracted by her surroundings mid play. She likes a fuss in short bursts and doesn’t always wander off when she has had enough, she needs adopters who can check in with her to make sure she is still enjoying cuddle time. This lovely Lassie is on the prowl for her new home.
