About This Dog for Adoption

Chive's ideal home

Chive is a special 3-month-old puppy with a heart full of adventure and a whole lot of love to give. While he has limited vision and can see some light, he still experiences the world in his own unique way — and approaches it with confidence, especially when meeting new people. Chive will need a calm, understanding home with someone ready to guide him gently as he grows. He must live with another well-balanced dog who can offer companionship and support, helping him build his confidence and navigate daily life. Patience, consistency, and kindness will be key to helping Chive thrive.

Could you be Chive's perfect match?

If you're ready to open your heart to a pup who might need a bit of extra care but will reward you with endless loyalty and joy, Chive could be the one. He’s expected to grow into a high-energy adult, so an active home that can provide him with plenty of mental and physical enrichment is essential. Chive doesn’t let his limited vision slow him down — he’s playful, curious, and full of potential. With the right family and a steady canine companion by his side, Chive will grow into an incredible lifelong friend.

Border Collie Puppy Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Border Collie.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Border Collie Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
