About This Dog for Adoption

Raven's ideal home

Raven is looking for an active and experienced home where he can continue to grow into a confident, well-rounded dog. He could live with children aged 11 and over who are used to bouncy, excitable puppy behaviours, and may also live with a confident resident dog, pending a successful introduction at the centre. His ideal home will have a secure, private garden where he can play and burn off energy safely. Raven is still learning how to be left alone and can currently manage short periods of 1–2 hours, which will need to be built up gradually. His new family will need the time and commitment to support his ongoing housetraining and general puppy development, using positive, reward-based methods.

Could you be Raven's perfect match?

Raven is a lively 10-month-old pup with a love for people and a huge appetite for adventure. He’s full of enthusiasm and enjoys meeting new people, though he can get a little overexcited and may mouth when overstimulated. He’s slightly unsure around other dogs, but with gentle guidance and confidence-building, he has the potential to improve. Raven thrives on mental and physical stimulation and loves tasty treats, which will help him flourish in training. If you’re looking for a fun, energetic companion and are ready to invest in his bright future, Raven could be the perfect match for you.

Border Collie Puppy Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Border Collie.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Border Collie Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
