About This Dog for Adoption
Bertha's ideal home
Bertha is looking for a home with loving and active adopters who can take her on sniffy adventures, who will take the time to help her settle in with minimal visitors to begin with and give her all the love and attention she deserves. She is a friendly bean who can live with children aged 10 years and over who can play nicely with her and will give her space to rest in her bed when needed. Bertha could live with an established dog who will happily co-exist with her and engage in occasional play, this will be pending successful meetings at the centre, living with another dog is not a necessity, she would love to have calm and polite walking buddies, she cannot live with cats or other small furries. Bertha has a little training under her belt, she does a lovely “sit”, she would be happy to engage in short, sweet session if a tasty treat is on offer. She may need a refresher on her housetraining in her new home so a private, secure garden with high fencing is needed. Bertha can settle nicely in the home, so could be left for up to 2-4 hours, this would need to be built up slowly once she has had time to settle in. Bertha will need to meet her adopters a few times prior to going home so please bear this in mind when applying. Please note that should you be shortlisted, our rehoming process usually takes up to 7 days, and potential adopters would be required to come up to the centre to meet her within 48hrs of being shortlisted.
Could you be Bertha's perfect match?
Super snuggly Bertha is a 3 and a half year old Border Collie who loves to sit and watch the world go by. Once she is settled her playful side comes out, she loves soft toys and will play with them with her favourite people and she is learning to play catch with a ball. She LOVES fusses! She will lean on you for more, and if she is feeling really relaxed she will climb into your lap for ultimate snuggle time. She does like her own space and will sometimes take herself off to her bed for a bit of peace and quiet. This wonderful lady is looking for her new home now.
