Fly's ideal home

Fly is a 4-month-old Border Collie puppy with bright eyes, a busy brain, and a big, wide world waiting to be explored. Like many Collies his age, Fly is full of curiosity, energy, and potential - and he’s looking for a home that can keep up with his clever little paws. He’ll thrive with people who understand the needs of an active, intelligent breed and can offer him plenty of enrichment, training, and affection as he finds his feet in the world. Fly would love a secure, private garden with space to run and explore, and he’ll need a minimum 6ft fence to keep him safe during his outdoor adventures. He could live with calm, dog-savvy children aged 8 and over, and he may enjoy sharing his home with a friendly, patient dog who can show him the ropes. He’s still a baby and toilet training is a work in progress, and like any young pup, Fly will need a consistent routine, plenty of positive guidance, and a good supply of chew toys to help him settle into family life.

Border Collie Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Border Collie.

View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Border Collie Owners website
Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images
