About This Dog for Adoption

Merlot's ideal home

Say hello to Merlot, Cava, Chardonnay, Chianti, Prosecco and Pinot! These gorgeous pups are 10 weeks old and ready to find their forever homes! They are looking for families who will support them through all stages of puppyhood, including their basic housetraining and socialisation. Merlot and his brothers could live with dogs after successful meets at the centre, and cats with proper management in the home. They are energetic, playful puppies so would like active families who will take them on plenty of walks and adventures as they grow! They would also love a secure outdoor space where they can play and enjoy enrichment games to burn some of their puppy energy! As they are not used to being left alone, Merlot and his brothers would like someone to keep them company during the day until leaving time can be gradually built up.

Could you be Merlot's perfect match?

Merlot and his brothers are stunning Collie x English Bulldog pups. They are a bouncy bunch who are super excited to find families to share all their playtimes with! As these pups are under 6 months old, they will be automatically enrolled in our Dog School puppy classes to help set them up for success in their new homes. If you think your home is missing one of these playful pups, follow the steps below to submit an application and don't forget to 'favourite' Merlot!

Border Collie Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Border Collie.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Border Collie Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
