About This Dog

Cordelia's ideal home

Cordelia is a bright, bouncy 1 year and 6 month old Border Collie cross looking for a home that can match her energy and nurture her growing confidence. She loves long walks and exploring, but tends to stay close by, often checking back in for reassurance. While she is very affectionate and enjoys a fuss, she prefers to approach on her own terms once she feels comfortable. Cordelia is instantly friendly with people she knows and may jump up in excitement when greeting them. She is gentle with other dogs but is currently undersocialised and can be submissive, so she will need patient guidance and positive socialisation training. A home with a private garden is essential so she has a safe space to run and play, and she would thrive with owners who can provide both physical exercise and mental stimulation to channel her intelligence.

Could you be Cordelia's perfect match?

Cordelia would suit a home with older, secondary school-aged children who are calm and predictable, as sudden or overwhelming behaviour may worry her. She adores toys and can happily entertain herself, but also enjoys engaging others in play. As a clever and energetic young dog, she will benefit greatly from ongoing training and activities that give her a sense of purpose. She is not yet ready for off-lead walks due to her need for further socialisation and confidence-building, so her new family should be committed to continuing her development at her pace. With patience, understanding, and plenty of love, Cordelia will be a loyal, affectionate, and fun companion.
