About This Dog

Tegwyn's ideal home

Sweet and sensitive boy Tegwyn is a 6 and a half year old Border Collie who is learning about the world one step at a time. He can be a little hesitant at first, but once he has built a bond with you he will approach for short, gentle fuss. This handsome boy is settling wonderfully in foster care and learning what toys are, we hope he will be playing with them soon. Do you think you have a special place in your heart and home for him?

Could you be Tegwyn's perfect match?

Tegwyn is looking for a calm and predictable home with minimal visitors, especially to begin with. He is looking for a loving and active family who can take him on sniffy adventures in quieter walking areas, who will take the time to help him settle in and give him all the love and attention he deserves. He can be worried by meeting new people and lots of handling so could live with college/sixth form aged kids who can be calm around him, who can play with him nicely and will give him space to rest and relax when needed. Tegwyn could live with another calm and friendly dog who will happily co-exist and engage in occasional play, a dog that will teach him the ropes and help him build his confidence, this will be pending successful meetings at the centre. Living with a dog is not a necessity, he would be happy with have polite and friendly walking buddies. Tegwyn has a little training under his belt, he can be enticed to engage in training in short sweet sessions if a tasty treat is on offer. He would like a home with a private, secure garden for him to potter about in at his leisure. Tegwyn can be worried being left so is looking for someone home the majority of the time, especially to begin with, any leaving time would need to be built up slowly once he has had time to settle into his new home. Tegwyn will need to meet his adopters multiple times prior to going home so please bear this in mind when applying. Please note that should you be shortlisted, our rehoming process usually takes up to 7 days, and potential adopters would be required to come up to the centre to meet her within 48hrs of being shortlisted.
