About This Dog for Adoption
Fly's ideal home
Super sweet and dinky girl Fly is a 2 year old Collie with a gentle nature. She needs someone to show her the world isn’t such a scary place and will help bring her out of her shell to become the awesome and wonderful girl we know she is. She hasn’t shown much interest in toys so far, she will follow a tennis ball if thrown for her, but quickly loses interest. Once she has a bond with you Fly is a snuggle bug, she will nudge your hand for more fusses and edge her way into your lap. This little cutey is ready to find her new home.
Could you be Fly's perfect match?
Fly is looking for a home with loving and active adopters who can take her on sniffy adventures, who will take the time to help her settle in and give her all the love and attention she deserves. She could live with sixth form/college aged children who will help her to settle in at her pace, will play with her nicely and give her space to rest when needed. Fly can be worried by excitable and boisterous dogs, she would like to be the only pet in the home so she can have all of the attention to herself, she could have calm and polite walking buddies to help her build her confidence around other dogs. Fly has a little training under her belt, she does a lovely “sit”, she is a clever girl, but can be easily distracted by her surroundings, so would benefit from training in short, sweet sessions with the help of a tasty treat. She is looking for a home with a private, secure garden for her to potter about and explore in at her leisure. Fly can be a little worried being left alone so would like adopters who are home the majority of the time especially to begin with, once settled she could be left for up to 1-2 hours, any leaving time would need to be built up slowly once she has had time to settle into her new home. Fly will need to meet her adopters multiple times prior to going home so please bear this in mind when applying. Please note that should you be shortlisted, our rehoming process usually takes up to 7 days, and potential adopters would be required to come up to the centre to meet her within 48hrs of being shortlisted.
