About This Dog

Moss's ideal home

Meet Moss, a 2-year-old Collie with a wonderful sweet nature, ready to blossom into his best self. He would love living with patient adopters who appreciate the quieter side of life. Someone who can offer him a peaceful household away from heavy traffic and loud noises, and who is committed to building his confidence through gentle, consistent support. A home with a secure garden would give him the perfect space to explore and enjoy enrichment activities, while a driveway would help him gradually get used to car travel, which is still new and worrying for him. Moss would prefer to be the only dog in the home so he can focus on forming a strong bond with his people, although he can socialise with other dogs out and about given suitable introductions and careful management. He could live with sensible, dog-savvy children aged 12 and over who understand the importance of giving him space, and he would suit a family who enjoys a slower pace, cozy evenings and the rewarding journey of helping a sensitive dog grow in confidence.

Could you be Moss's perfect match?

Once Moss feels safe and comfortable, his affectionate and endearing personality really shines. He’s a gentle soul who loves to be close and snuggle up on the sofa with you, always happiest when affection is on his terms as he builds in confidence. He enjoys meeting new people, though he appreciates space between fusses so he doesn’t feel overwhelmed. Moss is wonderfully content in a relaxed environment, he settles well when left, and is quiet, chill and calm indoors. He has a playful side too, happily helping himself to toys and amusing himself, or engaging in gentle play with his handlers. Enrichment activities and long-lasting chews are among his favourite pastimes, and he’s just beginning to learn about the wider world, including lead walking and home routines. With time, patience and kindness, Moss will reward his adopters with loyalty, quiet companionship and plenty of special moments that make every bit of effort worthwhile.
