About This Dog for Adoption

Danny's ideal home

Darling Danny is on the search for his forever family who can shower him with love and take him on lots of new adventures. He would suit someone with Collie/working breed experience, but this is not essential if adopters are willing to do some research. He can be slightly nervous when first meeting new people and would be best suited to live with secondary school aged children in the home. Danny would be happy to share his home with another dog of similar size and livestock (if kept separated). It would be ideal for Danny to go to a home with a garden but this is not essential pending that he gets enough exercise and stimulation. Danny would like minimal leaving hours initially as he can be worried when being left. Leaving hours can be built up once he is settled in the home.

Could you be Danny's perfect match?

Danny is a very sweet boy who can be a bit shy when first meeting new people. It doesn’t take him long to warm up to you and show off all his Collie greatness. He adores cuddles and is always eager to give his favourite people a big bear hug. He is an active boy who loves long adventures and exploring new places. He loves a tasty treat and will show off his handsome sit for something extra tasty. He is a wonderful boy who is sure to bring lots of love to his forever family.

Border Collie Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Border Collie.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Border Collie Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
