About This Dog for Adoption

Edward's ideal home

Edward is a beautiful young Collie crossbreed searching for adopters who can help build his confidence in the World. He has never lived with children but has the potential to live with older children who can understand when he is showing appeasing behaviours. Edward would like to be the only dog in the home but continue his dog socialisation when out adventuring. Edward will go home on a lead in public disclaimer, therefore he would like a private garden so that he can have time off lead with his family. Edward would like minimal leaving hours to begin with which can then be built up over time.

Could you be Edward's perfect match?

Edward is a lovely boy who absolutely adores going on adventurous walks with his favourite handlers. He enjoys playing with toys and will chase after them but is still learning to bring them back. He is still a young boy who would love to start learning new things and getting stuck into high energy activities likes agility, flyball and more. Edward loves all things food and will take treats very gently from your hand. He will make a wonderful addition to his forever home.

Border Collie Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Border Collie.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Border Collie Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
