Posie's ideal home
Posie is looking for an adult only home with no visiting children. She would like active owners who have a calm and predictable lifestyle who are willing to put in a little bit of training to help this lovely girl feel safe and settled. She will need to be the only pet in the home but would love to have walking friends when she is out and about. Posie would like her own private garden to explore in and due to her love of food she would not be suitable for open plan living, so an area for eating on her own and separating her during meal times would be required for this foody girl! Once settled she has potential to be left for a few hours. New adopters must be willing to visit Posie multiple times and must also live within 45 minutes of the Canterbury rehoming centre in order for the behaviourists to carry out visits to the home. If you rent your property, please have written permission from your landlord ready once you have submitted your application to avoid delays, as it will be required if you are shortlisted.

Pretty girl Posie is a beautiful 5 year old Border Collie who hasn’t had a good start in life and is looking for a home where she can experience the life of a loved pet. As she has lived for many years in a kennel environment, she will need a lot of love, time and patience to allow her to settle into life as part of a family. She is an active girl who loves exploring out on her walks and she loves a big run around in our large field where she can really stretch her legs! She enjoys meeting other dogs out on her walks, preferring those that are a bit calmer rather than boisterous dogs. When gently fussed, this girl soaks up all the love and is desperate to make friends, but she can become overwhelmed with too much close handling, so will need owners that can manage this and give her space when she needs it. Posie will make a sweet, affectionate addition to your household, she just needs to be given a chance and the opportunity to be loved in her own time, with the right people to enjoy the life she deserves.
