Molly

Molly's ideal home

Molly is looking for a quiet, calm, adult only home with patient and understanding adopters who can give her a lovely predictable and relaxed life. She would be best suited to a home with minimal visitors as she is a worried girl who finds meeting new people a bit stressful. She would really like owners who will advocate for her and recognise when she may be feeling overwhelmed or uncomfortable. Molly would be able to have calm walking friends to socialise with when out and about but in her home she likes to have all the attention to herself so she will need to be the only pet in her home. She would like to have someone to spend the majority of her time with as she adores human company. Molly has some of her basic training, walks nicely on her lead and was housetrained in her previous home so she will need her own secure garden for this and to potter in. Molly is currently carrying a bit of extra weight and will need owners to continue her weight management diet and take her or nice walks to help her achieve a healthier size. Molly will need to meet her adopters multiple times prior to going home to build a strong bond so please bear this in mind when applying. She will need visits from our behaviour team once she goes home so adopters will need to live within 45 minutes driving distance from the Canterbury Rehoming Centre so please bear this in mind prior to applying for her. If you rent your property, please have written permission from your landlord ready once you have submitted your application to avoid delays, as it will be required early on in the rehoming process if you are shortlisted.

Could you be Molly's perfect match?

Molly is a sweet, affectionate 8 year old sofa loving Border Collie who is looking for a loving, calm home to settle in to. Although she can be a little shy at first, once a bond is built she is very loving and attentive. Molly loves going for walks, especially in the woods where she can do lots of sniffing! Although she already knows lots of things, Molly is a clever girl who is keen to learn new tricks and will be fun to train. Molly is quite a fussy eater and is very picky about her treats, but we think that once she settles in to her new environment her appetite will come back which means that new owners will need to be mindful about treats and food to manage her weight as she is a little overweight at the moment! Molly is really missing her home comforts and will make a very lovely and attentive addition to a lucky home.
