Chunky's ideal home
Chunky is a sweet, six-year-old Collie cross with a playful nature. While independent when first getting to know new people, he holds a big place in his heart for his favourite humans and an even bigger place for his best pal, Lady. Chunky has lived with Lady since his puppy-years and is now looking to continue his journey with her. They will need to be the only pets in their new abode but could share space with older teens, who can be understanding that they like their own space occasionally. Whilst Lady doesn’t seem to mind seeing other pooches about, Chunky prefers to keep himself to himself and becomes overwhelmed when other dogs get too close. As such, they would best be suited to walking in quieter areas. They would also like walks away from any busy roads, as Lady finds the traffic worrying. While the pair walk nicely on their leads and harnesses, they can be strong at times, so would be better suited to adopters who are steady on their feet and confident in managing larger breeds. A garden of their own is essential and leaving them alone for short periods can be built up gradually once they are fully settled into their new environment.

Chunky is full of charisma and is bound to make for a wonderful companion to adopters who can offer him a peaceful home life, whilst ensuring they keep him busy with playtime and adventures. He and Lady both love a game with their toys but will need to be supervised when toys are around, as their excitement could bubble over. Together, they will bring plenty of joy and fun to their new family.
