About This Dog for Adoption

Brodie's ideal home

Meet Brodie, a bright and bouncy one-year-old Collie Retriever cross who is full of life, love and enthusiasm for everything he does. This cheerful chap is always ready for an adventure and is looking for an active home that can keep up with his playful spirit.

Brodie will thrive with owners who can give him plenty of both physical and mental stimulation — at least one to two hours each day — to satisfy his clever mind and energetic nature. He already knows a few basics like sit and down and with his love of treats and quick brain, he is great fun to train.

He can get a bit overexcited at times, sometimes jumping up at head height when things get too exciting so he will need adopters who can help him learn calm manners using positive, reward-based training.

Brodie finds being left alone tricky so he will need patient owners who can start with minimal leaving hours and gradually build these up once he feels settled and secure.

Children in the home should be aged 10 or older, and Brodie will need a home without cats or small furries.

Could you be Brodie's perfect match?

Affectionate, clever and endlessly loving, Brodie is a real joy to be around. He adores other dogs and would happily share his home with a canine companion who enjoys playtime as much as he does, though this is not essential if his humans can provide enough company and enrichment.

Brodie loves toys and is more than happy to share them, whether it is a tug with a doggy friend or a game with his handlers. He is housetrained, food-motivated and always eager to please, making him a lovely mix of fun and affection.

A private garden would be a bonus for this lively lad, but it is not essential for the right home. What matters most is finding a family who can offer him the time, companionship and activity he needs to thrive.

If you are ready for a fun-loving, clever companion who will fill your days with laughter, loyalty and love, Brodie is waiting to meet you.
