About This Dog for Adoption

Tipps's ideal home

Tipps can live with children over 14 but no other pets as she is very worried by unknown animals. She isn't used to spending time alone so will need someone there with her most of the day, and she will need all her basic training.

Could you be Tipps's perfect match?

Little Tipps has come form a multi dog household where she wasn't being properly cared for and can now look forward to a brighter future with a loving family. She's a nervous girl by nature who resorts to barking worriedly when she's in a situation she's unsure of, and that can include meeting new people. Tipps is going to need slow introductions to the world from a family who are happy to let her take her time and will help build her confidence. When she knows you she happily displays her sweet personality and loves to be snuggled up with you. For a dog who has never been walked on a lead before, Tipps has taken to it really well and seems comfortable, so we know she has so much potential to get used to new things. She absolutely LOVES toys! Her little eyes light up when when you pick one up for her and she will pounce on one and then carry it around proudly. Playtime is where she really seems to feel bold and we reckon this is the best way to win Tipps' heart and trust.

Border Collie Puppy Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Border Collie.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Border Collie Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
