About This Dog for Adoption

Pip's ideal home

Pip is an adorable 11 & 1/2 year old Border Collie, She is very loving and friendly.
Pip loves toys and will engage in playing fetch with you. Pip would love a secure garden so she has somewhere to relax, plod around, sniff and play off-lead, Pip has been very good walking on the lead, she knows basic commands and loves nothing more than going on gentle walks. Although she maybe in her senior years, she sure has lots of collie energy. Pip is currently on anti inflammatory medication due to some signs of aging, however this is not affecting her mobility or willingness to play. Pip would really benefit from a family who will enjoy being outdoors, taking leisurely walks and adventures. Pip has experienced a very happy life being in the same home from a pup, she has been loved, cherished and adored.

Could you be Pip's perfect match?

Pip is housetrained and knows basic commands, she used to a life where she has been included in everything. She is used to all the home comforts and would like people around for most of the day, as this is what she is used too. Pip travels well in the car, loves her treats, curling up in her bed, playing fetch, having snuggles. Being an older girl, we think she'd be suited to a home where children are older and understand she may need space to rest.

Border Collie Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Border Collie.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Border Collie Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
