About This Dog for Adoption

Timothy's ideal home

Meet our sweet boy, Timothy. At 5 years old, he has come into our care with very little known about his past. He’s a timid soul who can find the big, wide world a bit overwhelming but with time, patience, and kindness, his affectionate and gentle personality begins to shine through.

Timothy is looking for calm, understanding adopters who can help him build confidence and truly find his paws. A secure garden where he can safely explore and play would be a dream come true for him.

Because of his sensitive nature, Timothy would be best suited to a home with older children aged 12 and above, who can respect his need for space when he's feeling unsure. He’ll need guidance with all his basics, including housetraining and learning to feel comfortable when left alone.

We're still getting to know how Timothy feels about other dogs. For now, he’ll need to be the only pet in the home, though this may change as we learn more about him.

Could you be Timothy's perfect match?

With time and patience, we’re confident that Timothy will grow into a truly wonderful companion, enjoying plenty of walks and adventures with his new family. He’s an absolutely beautiful boy, and we’re excited to watch him blossom and gain more confidence along the way.

Border Collie Puppy Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Border Collie.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Border Collie Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
