About This Dog for Adoption
Baylee's ideal home
If you have a calm home away from busy roads, a soft spot for golden oldies, and room in your life for a gentle companion, Baylee might just be the girl for you. This sweet 7-year-old Collie is looking for a peaceful retirement filled with kindness, routine, and plenty of time by your side. She can live with children aged 14 and over, though this may be lowered for calm and gentle youngsters. Baylee could share her home with another dog, although she tends to keep herself to herself and prefers human company. She cannot live with cats or small pets.
Baylee would love a garden and quiet walks where there is not too much going on. She is worried by traffic and busy areas, so a rural or semi-rural setting would suit her best. Whilst she is friendly with visitors and curious about new environments, she does need a home where she is not left alone often, and one that is actively involved in helping her continue to grow in confidence through positive training. Due to her needs, an open-plan home would not be suitable.
Could you be Baylee's perfect match?
Baylee is a sensitive soul with a heart full of love to give. She is the sort of companion who will gently nudge your hand for more fuss, then settle quietly by your side with a soft sigh. She is friendly, sweet, and enjoys simply being near her people. Although she is not overly playful, she does have a silly side, especially if you play a gentle game of hide and seek in the garden, where she will happily peek around corners to see if you have spotted her.
While she is generally good with handling, Baylee can be worried by new experiences or too much fuss. She prefers a slow, patient approach and will let you know when she is ready for attention. She is housetrained, though occasional accidents may happen, especially during times of stress or change. She takes her treats very gently and travels well in the car.
Baylee may be a little older, but she still enjoys her walks and a good sniff around the garden or local field. With kindness, patience, and a little bit of understanding, Baylee is sure to be a truly wonderful companion.
