Milo C

6 months

Milo C's ideal home

Milo is a 1yr 1m old Collie cross Whippet who is part of our Home Stay Scheme which means he is still living with his owners and isn’t currently in centre, but appointments can be made to meet him here. From information we have and assessments we have carried out, Milo is friendly, playful, and sweet. He loves attention and can mouth/pull at clothes for attention, due to this he could join a home with children that are sensible and secondary school age. He needs to go on 2 good walks a day and be given enrichment and training to keep him stimulated. Milo likes treats and is dog friendly so would like walking companions. He travels ok in the car and can be left in a home with things to do for a few hours. Ideally, he would like a garden bit it’s not essential, he does enjoy digging the odd hole!

Could you be Milo C's perfect match?

Please note that you won’t be applying for a specific dog, but you can tell us what type of dog you’re looking for. You can also add up to four favourites to your application to give us an idea of the dogs you like, so we can consider you for similar dogs. Once you’ve submitted your application, we can’t change or update your favourites. Adding a dog to your application is not a reservation but a guide for us to find you a match.

Border Collie Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Border Collie.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
