Aspen's ideal home
Aspen is a sweet 11-year-old lad. He can be a little shy meeting new people as he has previously led a sheltered life, but one he has a few tasty treats – he’s your best friend. New owners will need to take things slow with him, due to him not being used day to day activities. The staff at the centre are building up Aspen’s lead walking and doggy socialization and generally showing him daily life. Aspen is hard of hearing and has limited sight, so he will have to remain on lead whilst out and about on walks and making sure the house and garden are a safe haven for him. His walks would need to be in quiet locations, as Aspen wouldn’t cope in a busy environment and being around busy roads.

Aspen is looking for a very quiet home and can live with dog savvy children 14 years and over. He is best suited as the only dog in the home and just build up his doggy friend circle, as he has shown some guarding behaviour around food. We are unsure if he can live with cats/small furries. Because Aspen hasn’t been in a home environment, he may need some encouragement with his house training and also getting used to travelling in a car. Aspen just needs a chance to live out the rest of his life in a lovely home with a big comfy bed to snuggle into.
