Theo is a 6-year-old border collie who is incredibly loving, bright and never misses a trick! Often overlooked, he is longing to have his own special forever home and be part of a family. Theo is currently meeting one of our amazing foster carers and he has built a very special bond with her, which has shown us how much love he has to give to a new owner. Theo is seeking a home with a secure garden that is set back from any roads. He would need an adult only household with a maximum of 2 adults. Theo would appreciate an active home, someone who is looking for a companion to take on hikes and walking holidays. If you are interested in meeting Theo, you’ll need to be able to visit the centre multiple times to make friends with him first.

Theo is a very special boy. Astute and clever, goofy and fun, loving and loveable. What more can we say? Oh, and very handsome! He is a sensitive chap when it comes to meeting new people, but when he has accepted you, the love he has to give is indescribable. This has been proven when recently meeting his foster carer, who he has accepted with open paws. Theo now enjoys lolling on the sofa with her, learning new tricks and playing with his toys. It is touching to see the relationship they have built and it’s clear to see how happy he would be in his forever home. Theo is an active boy looking for a family to take him on long walks and countryside adventures, all the things he’s been missing out on. He would also benefit from plenty of mental stimulation, being a typical border collie, he is alert, quick-witted, curious and loves learning new tricks. He already knows all the basic tricks as well as paw, spin and weave, and has the mental capacity for a lot more training. Theo can be sensitive to traffic, so his ideal home would be located away from busy roads, his walks should also avoid roads as much as possible. However, Theo is happy to travel in the car, so it would be possible to drive him to quieter surroundings for his walks. Theo is currently finding kennel life a little stressful, but after spending time with his foster carer and exploring her home, we can see what a great dog Theo would be if given the chance.
