About This Dog

Fiona's ideal home

Gentle soul Fiona is a 3 and a half year old Collie who finds the world a rather worrying place. She looks to her favourite people for reassurance and fusses, she does need you to check in the make sure she is still enjoying snuggle time. She hasn’t shown any interest in toys, she prefers the company of her humans. She likes to meet other polite and friendly dogs and will sometimes follow them around like a little shadow. This super sweet girl is ready to find her new family.

Could you be Fiona's perfect match?

Fiona is looking for a calm and predictable home with minimal visitors to begin with. With loving and active adopters who can take her on sniffy adventures, who will take the time to help her settle in and provide her all the love she deserves. She can be a worried girl who looks to her trusted people for reassurance so could live with older secondary school children who will approach at her pace, who will play with her nicely and will give her space to rest when needed. Fiona could live with a calm and confident dog who will happily co-exist with her and potentially engage in occasional play in future, a dog who will help her to grow in her confidence. This will be pending successful meets at the centre, although living with another dog is not a necessity, she would benefit from having polite and calm walking buddies who will give her space and help her to build confidence around socialising with other dogs. Fiona is a clever girl, once she is settled in her new home she could be encouraged to engage in training in short, sweet sessions as long as a tasty treat is on offer. She would like a home with a private, secure garden for her to potter about in at her leisure. Fiona finds being left quite worrying so is looking to have someone home the majority of the time, especially to begin with, any leaving time would need to be built up slowly once she has had time to settle into her new home. Fiona will need to meet her adopters multiple times prior to going home with the potential for home visits to make sure she is settling in well, so please bear this in mind when applying.
