About This Dog

Dutton's ideal home

Inquisitive soul Dutton is a 10 month old Border Collie who is keen to go on a sniffy adventure with the odd confidence boost along the way. He is a sweet boy who will come over for a gentle fuss once he knows and trusts you, a little chin or neck scratch is a favourite of his. He hasn’t shown any interest in toys yet, but loves a game of find its, he will snuffle and sniff out those treats you’ve hidden in record time! This super sweet guy is ready to find his new home.

Could you be Dutton's perfect match?

Dutton is looking for a calm and predictable home with loving and active adopters who can take him on sniffy adventures, who will take the time to help him settle in and give him all the love and care he deserves. He is a sweet boy who finds the world rather overwhelming at times, so could live with older secondary school children who will give him time to build a relationship and give him space to rest and relax when needed. Dutton could live with a calm and confident dog who will happily engage in occasional play and will help him to build his confidence, although this is not a necessity, he would be happy with polite and friendly walking buddies. Dutton doesn’t know many tricks yet but does love a tasty treat so could be encouraged to engage in training once he is settled into his new home. He would like a home with a private or communal, secure garden for him to have some quality time pottering about in at his leisure with no worries or distractions. Dutton can be worried being left, so is looking for someone to be home the majority of the time to begin with, he can settle when provided with enrichment so could potentially be left in future, any leaving time would need to be built up slowly once he has had time to settle into his new home. Dutton will need to meet his adopters multiple times prior to going home, so please bear all of this in mind when applying.
