Broccoli is on the search for a fun and active family that would love an affectionate companion in their lives. He is a lovely boy that adores fuss and attention, and would like to live with children aged 10 or over. Broccoli can live with another polite and playful dog but is unable to live with cats. Being a Collie, Broccoli is super clever and always eager to learn more, so needs adopters who are willing to not only train his basics, including house training, but also teach him lots of fun tricks and skills to engage his brain. Broccoli can be left for 1-2 hours if this is built up gradually and with plenty of positive reinforcement. Broccoli will need to meet his adopters multiple times prior to going home so please bear this in mind when applying. Please note that should you be shortlisted, our rehoming process usually takes up to 7 – 10 days, and potential adopters would be required to come up to the centre to meet her within 48hrs of being shortlisted.

Border Collie Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Border Collie.

View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
If viewing a puppy under 6 months, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
