About This Dog for Adoption

Jess's ideal home

Jess is a lovely 1-Year-Old Border Collie. She is looking for a home with children aged 8-Years-Old and above and would love a secure garden of her own. She is a very friendly girl, however will need people willing to put in training with her in the home and build up her leaving hours. She is a typical collie and would like a home with no other pets, so that she can have all the attention to herself! Jess can be nervous in new situations like getting in the car and needs understanding owners who can take things at her pace.

Could you be Jess's perfect match?

Jess is a friendly girl who loves a snuggle from the people she knows. Once comfortable, her cheeky side will come out and she loves to run around and play with her toys! She can make friends with polite dogs when out on her walks after an introduction, as she can feel nervous at first. She will need a helping hand settling into her new home environment and would like an understanding family who can take things at her pace. Jess is a fantastic girl and would make a great companion to a family looking for a fun, loving girl.

AWE licence number 176240 by West Lothian Council.

Border Collie Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Border Collie.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Border Collie Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
