Rory

Rory's ideal home

Rory was found as a stray and is estimated to be around a year old. His wish list for a new home include being the only pet and living in a quiet environment where he can get used to his surroundings at his own pace. Children in the home should be secondary school aged or older and sensible around a dog who can be a little worried at times. Rory will need someone to keep him company throughout the day to help him settle in to his new home. A garden for him to relax and play in is a must. When Rory came in he was quite underweight. He is currently having hydrotherapy to build up muscle around his hips and is on a special diet to help him gain weight. Please be aware that there might be some medical costs involved, this will be discussed in full with potential adopters. If you rent your property, please ensure you have written permission from your landlord before applying for a dog.

Could you be Rory's perfect match?

Rory is a sweet boy who initially was very worried by being in kennels. He has slowly started to come out of his shell and is now happy to come and say hello to people he meets out and about. He has even started to go to hydrotherapy which he is enjoying! Rory travels well in the car but does need to be lifted in - he would benefit from learning how to use a ramp if his adopters are unable to lift him. Rory walks nicely on a lead but that's about as far as his training goes. He would enjoy adopters who could teach him all of the basics, including working on housetraining. Rory is a favourite here and he will make a great addition to a Collie-loving home.
