About This Dog

Patty's ideal home

Patty is a gorgeous Collie x Australian Shepherd who found herself in our care due to no fault of her own. She's incredibly sweet and friendly, and has really come out of her shell during our time with us, quickly becoming a staff favourite! She'll be able to live with primary school children, providing they are mindful of her boundaries, and will be happy with other pets in the home pending successful introductions. Patty is still learning the basics and will benefit from some continued support in her training and confidence building. We have no history of Patty being left alone, so once she is settled into her new home, any time will need to be built up gradually. She loves people so will be fine having visitors in the home, and would benefit from a garden but it is not essential.

Could you be Patty's perfect match?

Patty is a super inquisitive girl who loves to explore her surroundings and enrich herself through scent work. She absolutely loves people and will approach for cuddles with just about anyone! In character with her breed, she's incredibly playful and is really engaged with her training, provided it is kept positive and fun for her. She can be a little worried when being clipped up to collar but has tolerated it very well, and walks nicely on the lead. She's not overly fond of grooming or vet handling, but is incredibly patient and will simply move her body away when she has had enough. Patty enjoys her food and takes treats very nicely, and does often prefers to engage with her people over playing with toys. She is an extremely gentle, lovable girl who will make the perfect addition to the right home.
