Meet Troy – A Loving Border Collie Looking for His Forever Home 🐾 Troy is a beautiful 1.5-year-old Border Collie with a lovely nature and a very affectionate personality. He is a sweet, gentle boy who loves human company and enjoys being around people. We have only had Troy for a week, and this has been an incredibly difficult decision for us. Unfortunately, we underestimated the level of work, stimulation, and constant engagement that a Border Collie requires. After careful thought, we feel the kindest and most responsible decision is to find him a home better suited to his needs — even though we truly don’t want to let him go. As a young Border Collie, Troy needs an active home where he will receive plenty of attention, exercise, and mental stimulation throughout the day. He thrives on interaction and would do best with someone experienced with working or high-energy breeds, or an active household able to dedicate time to training, enrichment, and companionship. About Troy: • 1.5 years old • Very affectionate and loving • Friendly temperament with a great nature • Intelligent with lots of potential • Enjoys company and attention Training & Needs: • Recall is okay — he will often come back, but can become distracted, especially by birds, so further training will help him succeed. • He needs some continued work with house training. His previous home had a dog flap, so he was used to coming and going freely. • Like most Border Collies, he needs ongoing mental stimulation, exercise, and engagement. Troy truly is a wonderful dog with so much potential. He just needs the right environment and someone who can give him the time, energy, and affection he deserves. Our only priority is finding Troy a kind, loving home where he will be happy and thrive.
