Crumble's ideal home

Crumble is an 11-year-old Collie with the softest heart and the gentlest soul. He’s a sweet but sensitive boy who can find meeting new people a little worrying at first, but once he realizes you’re a friend, he will happily show you just how affectionate and loving he truly is. He has come into our care through no fault of his own and is now looking for a calm, understanding home where he can feel safe and cherished for the rest of his golden years. Crumble is currently carrying a few extra pounds, but he’s already on a healthy journey with us and slowly losing weight through a balanced diet and gentle exercise. He enjoys quiet walks and would love a home that continues this steady, kind approach.
Vet visits are very scary for Crumble, so he has been muzzle-trained to help keep everyone safe during examinations. He’s been incredibly brave about learning this, and it helps him cope with stressful situations. He is completely house-trained but is not used to being left home alone yet, so this will need to be built up gradually in his new home with patience and reassurance.
Out on walks, Crumble can happily walk alongside calm, polite dogs, but he may feel worried by quick-moving or overly excitable ones. He would do best with gentle canine friends or as the only dog in a quiet household.
