About This Dog for Adoption

Cider's ideal home

Cider is a stunning 8-month-old Border Collie Crossbreed who's looking for a forever home with people who understand the Collie breed. He's full of training potential and will really suit a more rural home where his breed needs will be met. He'll be fine with older kids who understand that he likes to have his own space. He's learning how to be social with other dogs but for now he'll need to be the only pet in his home.

Could you be Cider's perfect match?

Cider is a very friendly boy but can be a little shy when you first meet him. Once he's warmed up a bit he's lots of fun and loves to play. He enjoys chasing and fetching toys. He's got a good brain in his head and being quite foody he is very keen to learn new things, so his new family must be up for keeping him busy with plenty of fun outdoors adventures or indoor activities like food games and enrichment. We're unsure whether Cider has ever lived in a home before so may need a bit of time and patience to properly settle him in, but we can see he'll be well worth the effort. He shows all the signs of being a wonderful family pet.

Dogs Trust Adoption Process

Thinking of adopting through Dogs Trust? Here's what to expect before you start your application.

  • Register your interest in adoption on the Dogs Trust website - you can't apply for specific dogs directly.
  • Create an account to favourite dogs you're interested in and help the team understand your preferences.
  • Dogs Trust will match you with dogs that fit your lifestyle and home environment.
  • Some dogs listed here may already be rehomed or reserved, as updates can take time to sync.
  • If matched, you'll go through their adoption and home-check process before taking your new dog home.
