About This Dog for Adoption

Maloney's ideal home

Gentle chap Maloney is a 6 year old Border Collie who needs someone to show him the world isn’t too scary. If you are patient with him, and allow a bond to be built up, he will reward you with kisses and the snuggliest of cuddles. He loves to chase after his toys, but doesn’t know what to do with them once they stop moving! Could you give Maloney the kind, loving home he deserves?

Could you be Maloney's perfect match?

Maloney has started his search for his forever home, and is looking for a patient family who can gain his trust and help build his confidence. As he is a bit nervous of the world, he would be best suited to a home with older secondary school aged children who will be calm and gentle with him, and give him space when needed. Whilst Maloney needs to be the only dog in the home, we would encourage him to have plenty of walking buddies to build his confidence when out and about. As a typical Collie, Maloney is a smart boy, however he doesn’t have any training under his belt yet, so would need a family that would be willing to train all of his basic skills, including walking nicely on the lead. He can be left for up to four hours with some fun enrichment to keep him busy, providing this is built up gradually once he has settled into the home. Maloney will need to meet his adopters multiple times prior to going home with potential home visits to help with his transition into a home, so please bear this in mind when applying. Please note that should you be shortlisted, our rehoming process usually takes up to 7 days, and potential adopters would be required to come to the centre to meet him within 48hrs of being shortlisted.
