About This Dog for Adoption

Max's ideal home

Max is a super 4 year old Border Collie with a love of learning new things! He's on the search for a patient and peaceful forever home
that can give him the time to settle and find his paws. Experience or research into the breed would be really beneficial for anyone looking to take Max on. Max has spent a short time in a home where he has been housetrained. He was only used to spending an hour or so alone and once settled would relax in his crate, however we recommend this is gradually built up. Max is sensitive boy who can find loud and novel noises (such as rain) very scary. For this reason a peaceful rural home would be perfect for him, ideally away from road noise. He can get himself quite worried and overwhelmed around traffic, so would like a quieter area away from busy main roads where he can go for relaxed walks and really enjoy himself. Max finds comfort in his doggy pals and therefore must live with a pre-existing similar size confident dog to show him the ropes of life in a home. Due to his worries we think Max would do best in a home with children 16+ without too much hustle and bustle and minimal visitors. Max has so much potential and loves nothing more that playing in the runs here with his doggy pals, in the peace and quiet he truly shines and shows us what a fabulous little lad he is!

Could you be Max's perfect match?

Max's new family must be committed to visiting him a few times here at the centre where our team can take you through all he's been learning. Max is currently on medication which may need to be continued into his forever home and our adoption team would be happy to discuss his needs with any potential adopters. Max has shown he has a high chase drive with anything small and furry, so isn't suitable to live with cats or small furries. Max is such a sweet soul and is looking for an understanding family who can provide him with a quiet life and help him gain his confidence.
