About This Dog for Adoption

Ollie's ideal home

Ollie is a handsome 14-year-old Border Collie who has returned to our care through no fault of his own. He’s currently enjoying the comforts of a foster home, where he’s settling nicely into a cosy routine. As an older gentleman, Ollie is now looking for a peaceful retirement home where he can spend his days playing with his toys in the garden and enjoying relaxed afternoon snoozes in front of the TV.

He’s housetrained and content being left for a couple of hours, though we recommend building this up gradually as he adjusts to his new environment. Ollie can become anxious when out on walks and much prefers quiet routes where he doesn’t have to worry about encountering other dogs. Because of this, he’ll need to be the only pet in his new home.

Ollie can feel unsure around unfamiliar visitors, so having a safe, quiet space to retreat to will help him feel secure. He has lived with children before, and we feel he would be best suited to families with calm, understanding children aged 12+ who can appreciate his preference for a quiet life.

Could you be Ollie's perfect match?

As an older boy, Ollie does have some medical needs and is currently on a weight loss journey to help him feel more comfortable. It's important that this is continued in his forever home. Our team here at the centre would be happy to discuss Ollie's needs with his new family.
