About This Dog for Adoption

Tommy's ideal home

Tommy is a nervous boy who hasn't had the best start in life and is looking for a pet free house where he can thrive as an only child. He is also looking for an adult only home with all visitors being over 16 years old. He is looking for low leaving hours and minimal visitors as he can be nervous around people he doesn't know. Tommy is looking for a collie loving home and to live with someone that has experience of the collie breed before. He is looking for a patient home where his people will understand his quirks and help him build his confidence.

Could you be Tommy's perfect match?

Tommy is an energetic boy who is looking for a home that can give him the exercise he needs. He loves getting out of his kennels and doing his activities around the centre, like walking and any enrichment he can get his paws on. He likes a cheeky fuss now and again and once he gets to know you he will become your best friend. Tommy does need to wear a muzzle in the vet as a precaution , but in his defence who likes going to the doctors? No one.
Tommy will make an amazing companion and has so much love to give.

Border Collie Puppy Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Border Collie.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Border Collie Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
